The Advanced Builder

The Advanced builder replaces the long form. Settings live in sections down the left, you open one at a time, and a bar at the bottom keeps track of everything you changed.

The sidebar groups the eleven sections by what you are doing: setting the assistant up, giving it capabilities, then tuning it once it runs.

Finding one setting

Use Search all settings at the top of the sidebar. Type what you are after and the builder opens the right section and scrolls to that field. If nothing matches, it says so rather than guessing. The Only sections I changed switch at the bottom of the sidebar filters the list down to what you touched in this sitting.

Saving

Nothing saves as you type. The bar at the bottom shows 1 unsaved change or N unsaved changes and gives you three buttons. The web widget is part of this too: changing it counts toward the unsaved total and is stored by the same Save assistant.

When something needs attention

Two different things can appear, and they mean different things.

• A red Needs attention strip inside a section lists settings that cannot be saved as they are, each with a Jump to field link. Saving is blocked until you fix them.
• The advisor banner — N settings could be improved — is advice, not a blocker. See AI Advisor.

History

Every save that changes something becomes a version, and you can put any single line back without touching the rest. See Version history.

Testing

Test assistant in the header opens the test panel: call your own phone, talk to the assistant through your computer, or use the free text chat. See Testing your assistant.

Creating an assistant here

The Advanced form walks the same sections with Next step and Go back, and finishes with Create assistant. The web widget is set up afterwards, once the assistant exists.
