Simple setup asks a handful of questions, writes the prompt for you and hands you a working assistant. It is what the New Assistant button opens.

The five questions

1

What it does

Pick the job: answer calls and help people, book appointments, call and qualify leads, take orders and reservations, confirm and remind, ask for feedback, or something else. This decides the shape of the prompt and which settings get filled in.
2

Your business

Your industry and, if you have one, your website. The setup reads the site to learn your hours, services and prices. If it cannot read it, you can type the details instead.
3

Its voice

The language it speaks and the voice it uses.
4

What it knows

Anything it should be able to look up during a call: documents, or pages from your site.
5

What it says

The first line the caller hears, and the rules it should always follow.

The assistant page

When the setup finishes you land on the assistant’s own page, which is where you come back to. The checklist at the top — Finish setting up — 2 of 3 done — tracks what is left before the assistant can take real calls: a number, a first campaign, or the widget on your site. The settings rows each have a Change button: Number, Voice, Language, Calendar and Passes to a person. Changes here save immediately, there is no separate save. What it says shows the first line of the conversation. Edit it in place, or press Change it by chatting and describe what you want in your own words. Under it sit the rules the assistant always follows, and the compiled system prompt, which is read-only unless you choose Edit raw. The test panel sits on the right: call your own phone, talk to the assistant in your browser, or open the free text chat. See Testing your assistant. The public demo link is a page you can send to anyone so they can try the assistant without an account.

What is only in Advanced

Simple deliberately leaves out the deeper settings. Open Advanced when you need tools and mid-call actions, call variables, webhooks, turn-taking and timing, transcriber options, or voice cloning.
The Web widget is available in both, but in Simple it opens as its own Web Widget Configuration panel with its own save button.
